Facilities Supervisor

We are currently seeking candidates for the position of Facilities Supervisor.

Reporting to the Facility Manager, the Facility Supervisor will be responsible for the maintenance and improvement of our Moncton location by ensuring quality and efficiency in the facilities maintenance teams work.  The successful candidate thrives in a fast-paced and ever-changing environment, keeping their team focused on the right goals. To lead and support a multi-disciplined team the Facilities Supervisor would need to be an exceptional problem solver and have very strong communication skills. You will be expected to provide support and mentorship to their team members while ensure efficient and effective use of their time at work. 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan work for large in-house teams and contractors;
  • Supervise and support facility maintenance and improvement work daily;
  • Provide problem-solving and technical mentor ship and support to team members and other departments;
  • Plan and ensure execution of preventative maintenance routines;
  • Support fellow maintenance team members on a regular basis with various tasks;
  • Assist with development and writing of preventative and predictive maintenance programs and procedures;
  • Maintain structured and orderly tool and material inventory;
  • Work closely with other interdepartmental supervisors to ensure excellent facilities condition;
  • Assist other trades and personnel when required;
  • Other duties as required.

Skills & Qualifications:

  • Applicable Trade with 5-10 years' relevant experience;
  • Strong leadership, cooperation, and communicating skills;
  • Prioritization and the organizational skills to effectively execute;
  • Strong aptitude for problem solving including control components and piping systems;
  • Strong logical diagnostic skills with ability to quickly determine equipment issues and root cause repairs;
  • Prioritize multiple issues or demands in order of importance to safety and quickly maintain plant operation;
  • Read and interpret blueprints, schematics and manuals to determine best method for equipment repair or installation;
  • High level of competency and respect for safe working procedures;
  • Experience working with work orders and structured maintenance teams;
  • Ability to lead, train and mentor employees;
  • Ability to handle projects with multiple work streams both independently and as part of a team;
  • Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment with multiple priorities.
