Human Resources Administrator

We are currently seeking candidates for the position of Human Resources Administrator to join our HR Team.

Reporting to the Human Resources Manager, the successful candidate will provide support to the HR department.  Main duties would include maintaining personnel records, managing HR documents (e.g. employment records and onboarding paperwork) and updating internal databases. Our ideal candidate has experience with HR procedures and can juggle various administrative tasks in a timely manner.  The HR Administrator is a key member of the HR team and is responsible to ensure that employee interactions with HR are positive and professional.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Organize and maintain personnel records;
  • Update internal databases (e.g. HRIS, benefit systems);
  • Assist with the preparation of HR documents, like employment contracts and new hire paperwork;
  • Assist with the creation of regular reports and presentations on HR metrics (e.g. turnover rates);
  • Answer employee questions about HR-related issues while escalating or engaging other members of the HR team as needed;
  • Assist the payroll department by providing relevant employee information (e.g. leaves of absence, sick days and work schedules);
  • Participate in HR projects;
  • Participate in employee engagement activates, this may require liaising with external partners or vendors;
  • Other duties as may be required.

Skills & Qualifications:

  • Post-secondary education in Human Resources combined with relevant experience;
  • 2-3 years’ experience in an administrative role, preferably in HR or in a manufacturing/production environment;
  • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information appropriately;
  • Ability to work accurately and to keep an eye on detail while meeting tight deadlines in a fast-paced and changing work environment;
  • Adaptable and flexible;
  • Capacity to work independently and as part of a team;
  • Able Ability to stay organized while managing multiple priorities with changing deadlines;
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft software, experience with HR software would be considered an asset;
  • Strong communication skills, verbal and written, including strong phone, email and in-person communication skills.
