Human Resources Generalist

We are currently seeking candidates for the position of Human Resources Generalist to join our HR Team.

Under the direction of the Human Resources Manager, the HR Generalist will play a critical role in developing, implement and coordinating activities in various HR programs, initiatives, activities and services. The successful candidate takes initiative, displays problem-solving and decision-making abilities, has excellent organizational skills and maintains a positive, professional attitude in a fast-paced and changing work environment. 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the implementation of HR programs by providing services including talent acquisition, staffing, employment processing, compensation, health and wellness benefits, records management, succession planning and employee engagement and retention;
  • Develop HR solutions by collecting and analyzing data and recommending courses of action;
  • Prepare reports by collecting, analyzing and summarizing data and trends;
  • Provide guidance and support to employees regarding HR policies, processes and procedures;
  • Other HR activities as required.

Skills & Qualifications:

  • Post-secondary education in Human Resources;
  • 2-3 years’ experience in a manufacturing/production environment;
  • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information appropriately;
  • Ability to meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced and changing work environment, working well under pressure;
  • Capacity to work independently and manage multiple priorities;
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft software;
  • Strong communication skills, verbal and written.
