Maintenance Production Equipment Manager

We are currently seeking candidates for the position of Maintenance Production Equipment Manager. 

Reporting to the Director of Maintenance and Engineering, the Maintenance Production Equipment Manager (MPEM) has overall responsibility for maintenance and repair of equipment used to process and package cannabis products to ensure optimum productivity.   This may include equipment used in harvesting, processing, production of cannabis products and packaging.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Managing of direct reports w.r.t. effectiveness and efficiency;
  • Adherence to GMP and Safety policies by crew and contractors;
  • Developing, monitoring and control of maintenance equipment an labour budget;
  • Managing of equipment PM and PDM programs and results'
  • Monitoring and reporting of equipment productivity;
  • Identifying and implementing technical advancements;
  • Resource planning, ordering equipment and spare parts;
  • Working with partners and vendors;
  • Other duties as required.

Skills & Qualifications:

  • Industrial Mechanic or Electrician Journeyman licence or graduate of NBCC Engineering Technology Program;
  • 5 -10 years' experience in maintenance in a manufacturing environment;
  • Packaging equipment experience would be considered an asset;
  • Proven experience in leading tradesmen with preventative and predictive maintenance practices;
  • Experience with developing preventative and predictive maintenance programs;
  • Experience with MS and CMMS programs;
  • Demonstrates ability to identify and shift priorities quickly with flexibility.
