Quality Technician

We are currently seeking candidates for the position of Quality Technician.

Reporting to the Quality Manager, the successful candidate will have strong decision making and leadership skills and will be a hardworking individual with a keen eye for detail. You are resourceful and a creative problem solver, you can work individually as well as in a team environment, you are a quick learner with an ability to consistently meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced and changing work environment, you are also highly organized and a fast learner.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ability to hold and maintain Security Clearance as per ACMPR;
  • Conducting various QC activities such as air sampling, line checks, sample collection, incoming material review, scale versification activities etc.;
  • Perform internal facility inspections and audits;
  • Assisting with development and training of standard operating procedures, work instructions, task sheets, batch records and log records;
  • Assisting with record keeping, record verification and record filing;
  • Investigating customer complaints and initiating corrective and preventative actions;
  • Comprehensive record keeping;
  • Provide training and support to new employees on quality and regulatory systems;
  • Monitor data trends, identify and facilitate changes to achieve specifications and targets;
  • Required inventory reporting and communications with Health Canada on assigned frequency;
  • Other duties as required.


  • Post secondary education in a related field or equivalent experience;
  • Previous experience in a QC role in a manufacturing environment with an in depth understanding of a Quality Management System and Inventory control;
  • An affinity for science, math and/or horticulture would be considered an asset;
  • Proficient in Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, Excel, inventory management systems;
  • Strong communication (written and verbal) skills;
  • Quick learner, adaptable to different situations, showing initiative and self-direction; 
  • Hardworking with a keen eye for detail;
  • Resourceful and creative problem solver;
  • Ability to work shift-work.
