We are pleased to introduce the second post of a monthly series, designed to feature our many operational highlights and company updates in a fast-growing industry, directly from the President’s desk.
As we fast approach the holiday season, OrganiGram would like to do its part to give back to our community of valued clients. We appreciate all of our patients choosing OrganiGram and take our role as your licensed producer with great pride. In order to extend a sincere appreciation to all clients who have registered with us, we recently kicked off our Holiday Rewards Contest, with prizes including Magic Butter Maker machines, Extreme Q vaporizers and more! As we recently announced in a news release, with our growth continuing as planned and several marketing initiatives in place, we have increased our expectation and guidance for Q1 to be at $900,000 in sales. With the recent Federal elections and the mandate to legalize and regulate marijuana on the horizon, we look forward to continuing to work with a variety of stakeholders and regulatory boards to provide our products at a retail level. Given our approval of four additional growing rooms, increasing the annual production capacity to 2,100 kg, OrganiGram is well-positioned to adequately service the recreational market with organically grown medical marijuana products, while continuing to provide industry-leading services to our already existing and rapidly growing client base.
On-going doctor education has and continues to be a priority for us, with our sales team representing OrganiGram at several healthcare conferences this month, such as the Atlantic Pain Conference and NCON 2015, interacting with key stakeholders and members of the community to enhance awareness of our brand and continue to advance the use of cannabinoids as a therapeutic option. Our team has completed hundreds of doctor visits as well and is seeing high interest levels, providing individual as well as group presentations to drive awareness and provide the healthcare community with the information they require and request on a continual basis.
We recently had a chance to meet with The Wellness Soldier Cody and were pleased to support his Veteran Dinner, purchasing 10 tickets that were given to Veterans and their families to attend this event. The dinner was held in order to showcase the fact that “Food is Medicine”, discover that healthy eating can be delicious as well, and learn more about the services offered by Trauma Healing Centers. We look forward to continuing to work with Cody and Trauma Healing Centers to support Canadian Veterans leading healthier lives.
We recently also hosted a successful open day for investors and shareholders of OrganiGram, receiving tremendous interest and positive feedback. Along with a tour of the facility, we discussed the rapid growth of the company, recreational readiness and future initiatives in the works. Stay tuned as we prepare the presentation for release on our website and media channels.
